Nii-Tete Yartey is a highly accomplished and versatile artist whose career spans dance, choreography, teaching and artistic direction. He holds a Master of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Ghana, as well as a Diploma in Dance Studies from the same institution, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. exploring the intersection of migration culture and dance and its impact on the artistic landscape.

He was appointed a Board Member of the National Theatre of Ghana in 2025 and has served as Director of the Noyam African Dance Institute since 2015. He is also the Creative Director of NTY-Studios, and previously served as Artistic Director of the National Dance Company of Ghana (Ghana Dance Ensemble) from 2013 to 2018.

His choreography portfolio includes major national and international productions and events, including the EMY Awards, Africa Prosperity Network's Fire of Hope, the launch of the Black Star Experience with Fawohodie, Ghana's 60th Independence Day Celebrations, the Osageyfo Awards and the Presidential Inauguration. His international collaborations include Hanibal with KVS Theatre in Belgium and Unfinished Tales in Denmark.

Nii-Tete is also an experienced educator. Since 2024 he has served as Adjunct Faculty at Ashesi University and has lectured at the Design and Technology Institute since 2019. He has also worked as a visiting artist and guest lecturer at the University of California, Irvine, Ohio University and the University of Dubuque.
