To be the leading platform for professional and cultural exchange between Africa and Brazil, cultivating creative leaders and agents of sustainable transformation for the 21st century.
To deliver excellence in professional training, specialist mentoring and cultural immersion for African talent in Brazil, fostering international cooperation, innovation and sustainable development.
The programme is not limited to the 150 participants travelling from the African continent. Africans and non-Africans already residing in Brazil — students, professionals and members of the diaspora — are equally eligible and warmly encouraged to apply, joining the same training, mentoring and certification pathway.

Programme Structure
Phase 1 · 7 September – 4 October 2026
Immigration orientation, cultural introduction and competency assessment, alongside institutional welcome and Portuguese language foundations.
Phase 2 · 5 October – 1 November 2026
Hands-on workshops, field visits and expert-led sessions delivered by specialist tutors across each discipline.
Phase 3 · 2 November – 29 November 2026
Project development, mentoring, evaluation panels and the closing certification ceremony.

Leading the academic and creative direction of IOP 2026, Ambassador Prince Kojo-Hilton brings decades of international production and cultural diplomacy experience to the training of Africa's next generation of creative leaders.
Co-Project Director — International Orientation Programme (IOP)
Ghanaian-born cultural practitioner based in Brazil, working across musical performance, cultural mediation, African drum and dance teaching and music education, with practical knowledge of the Brazilian cultural environment. As Co-Project Director, he supports the coordination of the programme's cultural exchange, participant engagement and Brazil–Africa cooperation activities.

In a landmark step toward strengthening international cultural diplomacy and elevating Ghana's creative economy, the Global Art Connect team has formally engaged the Embassy of Peru in Ghana. The proposed initiative, aimed at bridging creative industries, enhancing capacity building, and fostering cross-cultural synergy between West Africa and South America, has received high consideration from Peruvian diplomatic representatives.
